Porsche Oman & Shell Oman Expand EV Charging Infrastructure

Porsche Centre Oman, operated by SATA L.L.C., has partnered with Shell Oman Marketing Company to drive a major expansion of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure throughout the Sultanate of Oman.

Launch of High-Speed Charging Stations

Under the terms of the agreement, at least eight high-performance, co-branded Porsche and Shell DC fast charging stations will be deployed across strategic locations in Oman, offering faster charging capabilities for EV drivers.

Widespread Installation of AC Destination Chargers

In addition to fast chargers, the partnership will see the rollout of 125 AC Porsche Destination Chargers. These will be placed at accessible public and private venues, offering Porsche owners complimentary charging to enhance convenience and customer experience.

Complimentary Charging Package for New EV Buyers

Starting 1 June 2025, customers who purchase a new Porsche EV from Porsche Centre Oman will receive a complimentary two-year charging subscription. This package includes 2,250 kWh of charging at Porsche-branded DC stations at no extra cost, with additional charging available at reduced rates thereafter.

Subscription Options for All Porsche Owners

Beyond the bundled offer, Porsche EV owners will also be able to purchase the subscription package separately. Regardless of subscription status, access to the AC Destination Chargers will remain free of charge for all Porsche drivers.

Seamless Integration into Shell’s Nationwide Network

The new DC fast chargers will be embedded within Shell Oman’s existing service station network. This move ensures Porsche EV drivers can reliably charge their vehicles both in urban hubs and on long-distance routes.

First Chargers Already Operational

The initial chargers under this collaboration are already installed and operational, signaling the rapid momentum behind the initiative. Porsche Centre Oman and Shell Oman plan to further collaborate on initiatives such as EV education campaigns and smart digital tools to encourage adoption.
