eToro, the global trading and investing platform, has joined forces with Google to unveil a groundbreaking advertising initiative. The campaign is one of the first to be fully developed using Veo 2—Google DeepMind’s cutting-edge generative video technology. This marks a pivotal step in applying AI to high-impact brand storytelling on platforms like TV and YouTube.

Veo 2: Revolutionizing Video Creation Through AI

Recently introduced to the public, Veo 2 enables the creation of cinema-quality videos using only text and visual prompts. The tool leverages advanced AI to replicate realistic physics, human expressions, and lifelike performances. eToro’s campaign is among the earliest examples of an end-to-end advertising project built entirely with this technology.

Creative Vision Led by AI Video Pioneer László Gaál

At the heart of the campaign’s production was László Gaál, a renowned figure in the AI video creation space. Working closely with eToro’s creative team, Gaál brought both artistic flair and deep technical know-how to the project. His expertise played a critical role in crafting two compelling 30-second videos that push the limits of what AI-generated storytelling can achieve.

Tapping Into Italian Consumer Aspirations

The initial phase of the campaign was tailored specifically for the Italian market with support from the agency Marketing Arena. Insights from an ACRI survey revealed that 28% of Italians under 44 prioritize saving for travel and leisure, while 20% save for major purchases. Only a small portion—10%—focuses on long-term wealth building. In response, the campaign showcases AI-generated scenes of aspirational moments like driving through Tuscany in a luxury car or celebrating an extravagant wedding by Lake Como. These visuals reflect immediate lifestyle goals, aligning perfectly with local consumer attitudes.

Multi-Channel Launch and Future Market Expansion

The campaign has officially launched in Italy across a variety of digital and traditional media channels, including YouTube, TV, connected TV (CTV), and outdoor advertising. eToro plans to expand the campaign to other countries in which it operates, bringing this innovative blend of technology and storytelling to a wider audience.
