Diriyah Company Awards Design Contract to Omrania for Boulevard District
Omrania’s portfolio spans diverse projects in Saudi Arabia, including master planning, hospitality, public spaces and mixed-use developments.
Diriyah Company has awarded a significant architecture and design contract valued at US $113.6 million to Omrania, a Riyadh-based firm that is part of the Egis group. Omrania is renowned for its role in designing the Kingdom Tower, one of Riyadh’s most iconic landmarks. The company will lend its expertise to create a series of well-designed buildings within three community areas in Diriyah’s prestigious Boulevard District.
The Boulevard District, which will serve as a central hub within the $63.2 billion Diriyah project, is poised to become a focal point for the area. It will offer enhanced connectivity across various regions within Diriyah’s expansive master plans, making it a cornerstone of the broader development efforts.
Omrania’s Role in the Design Process
Omrania’s responsibilities include overseeing the full spectrum of design work, from concept and schematic design to detailed design and construction supervision. The firm will ensure the successful implementation of its vision for the community areas surrounding the Boulevard District.

Accelerating Diriyah’s Development
Diriyah Company is rapidly advancing its development program, having secured major contracts for large-scale projects within the 14-square-kilometer development zone. In November, a significant $1.55 billion agreement was made for the development of the Qurain Cultural District. Earlier in July, a $2 billion contract was awarded for the design and construction of assets in Diriyah’s Northern District. Additionally, another $2 billion contract was signed for the development of four luxury hotels and the Royal Diriyah Equestrian & Polo Club in Wadi Safar. These agreements underscore Diriyah’s commitment to its ambitious growth plans and its ongoing progress.
