TAQA Distribution, a subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA), has entered into a strategic collaboration with Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), the region’s premier international financial hub. The agreement focuses on transforming utility service delivery for residential tenants located on Al Maryah and Al Reem Islands. The signing ceremony was attended by Omar Al Hashmi, CEO of TAQA Distribution, and Hamad Al Mazrouei, CEO of the ADGM Registration Authority.
Streamlined Billing and CRM Solutions
As part of the partnership, TAQA Distribution will oversee billing, payment processing, and customer relationship management (CRM) services related to authority fees. This initiative will simplify processes for over 16,000 residents, offering a more cohesive and efficient experience across the two islands.
One Integrated System for Utilities and Tenancy
The collaboration introduces a unified billing system that integrates tenancy-related fees into a single utility invoice for power and water, all within the ADGM ecosystem. From the initial lease application to final account closure, this all-in-one approach supports Abu Dhabi’s broader Program for Effortless Customer Experience, ensuring a smooth, automated journey for every tenant.
Phased Transition Over the Coming Year
The system will be gradually rolled out over the next 12 months, bringing enhanced digital services and operational efficiency to island residents. TAQA Distribution will also manage the collection and administration of tenancy-related authority fees, reducing complexity and boosting convenience for tenants.
Omar Alhashmi, Chief Executive Officer of TAQA Distribution, said: “This partnership with ADGM emphasizes our commitment to delivering innovative, customer-centric solutions that enhance operational efficiency and improve service delivery. By integrating technology and automation, we are transforming how residents interact with their utilities, by gradually combining a host of other services rendered for the customer across Abu Dhabi within a unified bill, this makes the process of payments in the emirate simpler and faster.”
Hamad Sayah Al Mazrouei, CEO of ADGM Registration Authority, said: “Our strategic collaboration with TAQA Distribution introduces a structured, efficient approach to utility management for Al Maryah and Al Reem Islands. By integrating TAQA Distribution’s expertise within ADGM’s ecosystem, we are enhancing resident experience and service standards.
