Expansion of successful logistics cooperation to foster growth for SMEs in both established and new markets.

DHL Group, recognized as the global leader in logistics, has entered into a new strategic phase with e-commerce giant Temu by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This renewed collaboration is set to amplify their partnership, focusing on supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in both mature and emerging markets—including regions like Eastern Europe and the Middle East. A key focus of the partnership is to promote sustainable and compliant international trade.

Leveraging DHL’s Global Logistics Capabilities

Through this agreement, DHL Group will provide Temu with its comprehensive logistics solutions, including multimodal transport systems. These services are designed to optimize the efficiency and sustainability of Temu’s supply chain operations. With DHL’s expansive international network and operational strength, the company is well-positioned to fuel Temu’s continued growth across various markets.

“Through our various DHL divisions, we are already providing a wide range of logistics services and solutions, including air freight and last-mile delivery. We are excited to elevate our partnership with Temu to the next level. By combining our logistics capabilities with Temu's innovative platform, we can create more efficient, compliant and convenient solutions that benefit both consumers and local businesses in the markets we serve,” states Katja Busch, CCO and Head of DHL Customer Solutions & Innovation.

Empowering Local Sellers Across Europe

A major element of this collaboration is DHL’s support for Temu’s "local-to-local" model in Europe. This initiative enables regional vendors to list and fulfill orders directly within their local markets. Temu anticipates that as much as 80% of its European sales will stem from this localized selling approach. In addition, the platform aims to help European-based merchants reach international audiences in the future, opening up new avenues for global trade and expansion.

Scaling SME Growth in EMEA

Beyond Europe, DHL will also play a key role in bolstering Temu’s footprint throughout the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) regions. The partnership is specifically tailored to help SMEs scale efficiently by accessing world-class logistics infrastructure, thus enhancing their global competitiveness in the ever-evolving e-commerce landscape.

“This letter of intent marks a significant step in our partnership with DHL Group. Its extensive network and logistics capabilities will help support our mission to increase consumer access to affordable products and help increase growth opportunities for sellers,” states Qin Sun, co-founder of Temu.
