Benefitting from reliable logistics

FedEx Express, the express transportation subsidiary of FedEx Corp, announced on Wednesday the introduction of its new services, FedEx® Regional Economy and FedEx® Regional Economy Freight, catering to the growing demand for cross-border trade in the Middle East region. The newly unveiled services, designed for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), provide cost-effective shipping solutions for non-urgent shipments within key Middle Eastern countries. Leveraging the company's Middle East Road Network (MERN), the services ensure seamless connectivity between Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. Real-time tracking on fedex.com guarantees secure transportation. Express custom clearance is a key feature, with competitive transit times of three to five business days for Regional Economy shipments and four to six business days for Regional Economy Freight shipments within important Middle Eastern markets. These door-to-door intra-Middle East economy road services present a valuable opportunity for customers to reduce costs on less time-sensitive shipments up to 68 kilograms using FedEx® Regional Economy or exceeding 68 kilograms through FedEx® Regional Economy Freight.

Customers can also use a range of digital tools designed to streamline intra-Middle East cross-border deliveries, covering everything from shipment creation to pick-up management and billing. The versatile services are particularly suited for businesses in various sectors, including automotive, electronics, oil and gas, fashion and retail, chemicals, e-commerce, and healthcare. Accommodating diverse shipping requirements, the economy road services can handle lightweight parcels, hefty shipments, palletised or irregular-sized goods, as well as items beyond the capacity of standard air shipping containers. As per GSci Transport Intelligence, the Middle East and North Africa's GDP is expected to grow at a steady Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 3.1% over the next five years (2023-2028). This projection has prompted businesses in the region to seek robust logistical support to navigate the changing landscape. In addition to the regional services, FedEx has introduced FedEx International Economy® and FedEx International Economy® Freight services in Saudi Arabia. This move empowers enterprises to expand their global footprint cost-effectively and reliably.
