Cosworth, the global leader in automotive powertrain technologies, has announced a significant change in its leadership team as it prepares for sustainable growth and future success. Gerald Forsythe, through one of his companies, Indeck-Cosworth, LLC, which is one of the two Cosworth shareholders, has been appointed Chairman. He has enlisted the services of the leading luxury automotive and motorsport consultancy, R-Universe, to join him on the leadership team. Dr. Florian Kamelger has been appointed as Cosworth’s new CEO, and Dr. Andreas Baenziger will become Deputy Chairman. Both will join the company’s Board of Directors.
The new leadership team will now begin a comprehensive evaluation of the business, focusing on leveraging Cosworth’s core expertise in developing and manufacturing world-leading powertrains. They aim to utilize the talent within Cosworth’s different business units—Cosworth Propulsion, Delta Cosworth, and Cosworth Electronics—while also investing in new technologies to maintain the company’s position at the forefront of automotive propulsion.
