Bentley Appoints Frank-Steffen Walliser As New CEO

Walliser, known as 'Father of the Porsche 918' will take over Adrian Hallmark as his successor, who recently left the British luxury business in March.

Frank-Steffen Walliser is popularly known as 'Father of the Porsche 918'. Having dedicated his career to Porsche since joining in 1995 after studying mechanical engineering with a focus on combustion engines and technology management, is now poised to embark on a new journey. As of July 1, he will transition to Bentley, assuming the roles of Chairman and CEO.

On Bentley’s ongoing path toward becoming the leading provider in the luxury segment, Frank-Steffen Walliser’s many years of experience and knowledge of the luxury segment will be invaluable,” said Gernot Döllner, Chairman of the Board of Management of AUDI AG, in charge of the Volkswagen Group's Brand Group Progressive, which includes Ducati, Lamborghini, Audi, and Bentley.

The continuing transformation of the automotive industry will be a major task for Bentley as well, a task that I am happy to take on with the team. I am convinced Bentley will continue to set standards in the luxury segment in the future” Frank-Steffen Walliser said.

Achievements of Walliser

During his tenure at Porsche, Walliser has held various pivotal positions, showcasing his expertise and leadership. Notably, he spearheaded the development of the groundbreaking 918 Spyder super sports car as the overall project leader in 2010. Subsequently, he made significant contributions as Head of Motorsport from 2014 and later assumed responsibility for managing the iconic 911 and 718 product lines in 2019. Since 2022, he has led Porsche's overall vehicle development, shaping vehicle architecture and characteristics. Now, with his wealth of experience and accomplishments, Walliser looks forward to bringing his talents to Bentley.
