In a strategic move to expand its operational capacity, SolitAir, the UAE’s only dedicated cargo airline focused on express services, has entered into an agreement with World Star Aviation for the addition of two Boeing 737-800 freighter aircraft. These new aircraft are expected to join the fleet in the coming months, strengthening SolitAir’s connectivity across key trade routes in the Global South and enhancing the scale of its operations from Dubai.
“Partnering with World Star Aviation marks an important milestone in SolitAir’s growth journey,” said Hamdi Osman, Founder & CEO of SolitAir. “These additional aircraft will significantly strengthen our operational capacity and enable us to expand our reach across critical trade routes. As we scale, our focus remains firmly on providing fast, efficient and reliable cargo solutions that meet the evolving needs of the Global South and beyond.”
Yoram Allalouf, a Partner at World Star Aviation, said: “We are proud to support Solitair in this exciting growth phase. This agreement underscores the confidence placed in Solitair’s vision, and we at WSA are thrilled to continue to develop this partnership.”
Growth Momentum from DWC Hub
Operating from a state-of-the-art 220,000-square-foot logistics facility at Dubai World Central (DWC), SolitAir currently runs a fleet of four Boeing 737-800 BCF freighters. The addition of the two aircraft from World Star Aviation is part of a broader fleet expansion strategy. Another freighter is also scheduled to join the fleet by the end of August 2025. With ambitious growth targets, the airline is on track to operate a fleet of 20 aircraft by 2027, aiming to serve more than 50 cities within a six-hour flying radius from Dubai.
Supporting Diverse and Demanding Cargo Needs
SolitAir’s fleet is engineered for flexibility and precision, ensuring high standards of safety and efficiency. The aircraft are equipped to handle a variety of specialised cargo, from temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals and time-critical e-commerce shipments to hazardous materials. This capability positions the airline as a key logistics partner for industries requiring dependable air freight solutions.
