Menzies Aviation, a global leader in airport and airline service partnerships, is expanding its collaboration with Wipro to introduce the Menzies Aviation Cargo Handling (MACH) system to 28 additional stations by 2025. This initiative marks a significant growth in Menzies’ digital transformation strategy, enhancing cargo management efficiency worldwide.
2024 Success Sets Stage for Future Growth
In collaboration with Wipro, a top technology services and consulting company, Menzies deployed the MACH system at 24 locations across four continents throughout 2024. An additional 13 airports are on track to integrate the system in the coming months, further underscoring the rapid adoption of MACH within the Menzies network.
Milestone Achievements Since MACH Launch
Launched in November 2023, the MACH system is already operational at major hubs like Auckland Airport (AKL), Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), and O.R. Tambo International Airport (JNB). In its first months, MACH has handled over 150,000 tonnes of cargo. With more than 3,000 end-users expected and over 600 Menzies employees trained on MACH, the system is transforming cargo operations with its enhanced usability and data accuracy.
Revolutionizing Cargo Operations with Cloud-Based Accessibility
MACH's cloud-based infrastructure represents a modern shift toward flexible, real-time cargo management. The system enables access from any device, anytime and anywhere, providing critical insights for operational decision-making across Menzies’ global locations.
Streamlined Data Integration for Accuracy and Efficiency
Built on a ‘single source of truth,’ MACH seamlessly integrates with other systems, streamlining processes and standardizing data entry across stations. This integration minimizes manual data entry, thereby increasing accuracy and efficiency across the cargo management ecosystem, aligning with Menzies’ commitment to data-driven decision-making.
Rory Fidler, SVP Cargo Technology, Menzies Aviation, said: “We are very excited to confirm the second phase of the MACH roll-out, which will see the system implemented at an additional 28 locations across the world. The first phase of the programme will be completed over the coming months, which is a testament to the successful offering, and sharing the multiple benefits of this pioneering and cutting-edge system to our airline customers across our global network.”
Omkar Nisal, UKI Managing Director, Wipro Limited, said: “Leveraging advanced automation, real-time data integration, and streamlined workflows, our solution is helping Menzies handle more shipments with fewer resources, leading to cost savings and faster turnaround times. Through real-time data integration, Menzies is now able to have better visibility into the supply chain, allowing them to identify and resolve issues promptly, thus ensuring timely deliveries and customer satisfaction. We are committed to continually raising the bar on our work for Menzies and bringing these leading technology solutions to the broader Cargo industry.”
