The Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH), Dubai South’s specialized aviation platform, has successfully completed the first phase of its Aerospace Supply Chain zone. Spanning over 1.29 million square feet and featuring 11 modern facilities, this development responds to a surge in interest from aviation businesses looking to establish themselves within MBRAH's innovative ecosystem.
Tailored Facilities for Aviation Maintenance and Repair
This initial phase introduces a landside-free zone tailored to the needs of engine overhaul shops, component and landing gear MROs (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul), and dedicated workshops. The infrastructure is designed to meet high industry standards, providing strategic support for operations in aircraft servicing and parts management.
Expansion Underway to Accommodate Growing Demand
MBRAH is already pressing ahead with the next stage of development. An additional 1.72 million square feet of facilities are currently under construction. This includes the ambitious Suppliers Complex, the Middle East’s first multi-level aerospace structure. Designed to support startups and SMEs, the complex will house 88 flexible units spread across three floors and is expected to be operational by the second quarter of 2026.
Tahnoon Saif, CEO of Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub, commented: “The demand for aviation-related services, particularly MROs, has significantly increased in recent years, and we have seen strong interest from companies looking to establish or expand their businesses at MBRAH. With the future completion of Al Maktoum International Airport, this demand is expected to rise even further. We are fully prepared to meet the needs of these companies through both our completed and upcoming facilities. At MBRAH, we remain committed to investing in advanced infrastructure and services, in line with our leadership’s vision to solidify Dubai’s position as the capital of aviation.”
Strategic Aviation Hub for Global Industry Leaders
MBRAH positions itself as a prime destination for the global aerospace sector. Its integrated free zone environment attracts top airlines, private jet operators, MRO service providers, and aerospace companies. Developed by Dubai South, the hub also includes educational and training institutions focused on building expertise and strengthening the emirate’s status as a global aviation leader.
