Rubrik, Inc. (NYSE: RBRK) has announced an expansion of its industry-leading cyber protection solutions for cloud data hosted on AWS. This strategic development is aimed at enhancing customers’ confidence in their data security while minimizing the risk of operational downtime.

Accelerating Cyber Resilience

The new capabilities are designed to boost cyber resilience for joint Rubrik-AWS customers by improving the detection and response to hidden cyber threats and significantly reducing recovery times. At the heart of this initiative is Rubrik Cloud Vault (RCV), an isolated, air-gapped, immutable backup repository managed entirely by Rubrik. In addition, the company is introducing advanced features like Anomaly Detection, Threat Monitoring, Threat Hunting, and Data Discovery & Classification to its AWS offerings.

Addressing Backup Vulnerabilities: Organizations face challenges in securing backup data stored internally, as bad actors often exploit such vulnerabilities. Maintaining isolated data vaults can be complex and error-prone due to manual processes. Rubrik Cloud Vault on AWS is engineered to resolve these challenges by providing a fully managed, off-site, and isolated backup solution.

Threat Monitoring: Automatically scan backup snapshots for malware using updated threat intelligence, minimizing risks of reinfection.

Threat Hunting: Analyze data histories for compromise indicators, pinpointing the source and timeline of infections to prevent future incidents.

Data Discovery & Classification: Locate sensitive data in files and applications, reducing exposure and aiding compliance with data regulations.

Availability and Upcoming Innovations

Anomaly Detection is now available to all AWS customers. Meanwhile, Threat Hunting, Threat Monitoring, Data Discovery & Classification, and Rubrik Cloud Vault will roll out in early 2025.
