This year's event is the largest in its history, welcoming extensive participation from global defence firms, high-ranking military officials, and key decision-makers in the sector.

The prestigious opening ceremony saw the presence of His Excellency Mohamed bin Mubarak Fadhel Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Defence Affairs, alongside His Excellency Lieutenant General Issa Saif bin Ablan Al Mazrouei, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, and other senior military officials. Organised by ADNEC Group in partnership with the Ministry of Defence and Tawazun Council, IDEX 2025 runs from 17 to 21 February at the ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, bringing together industry leaders to showcase the latest advancements in defence technology, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence.
Surge in First-Time Exhibitors
This year’s exhibition hosts an impressive 1,565 companies from 65 countries, marking a 16% increase from the previous edition. The total exhibition space has expanded by 10% to cover 181,501 square metres. Notably, 731 companies are making their debut at IDEX, reflecting an 82% surge in new participants. Additionally, the UAE's defence industry continues its growth, with 213 local companies comprising 16% of total exhibitors.
New International Participants and Expanded Exhibition Space
For the first time, Qatar, Ethiopia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, and Cyprus are participating in IDEX, broadening its international footprint. The newly introduced Hall 14 accommodates 341 exhibitors, further diversifying the event’s offerings. The exhibition serves as a vital platform for startups, providing emerging businesses an opportunity to present groundbreaking defence innovations.
Unveiling the Global CBRNE Hub
A major highlight of IDEX 2025 is the introduction of the first-ever global CBRNE Hub, dedicated to addressing threats related to Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive (CBRNE) weapons. This specialised hub brings together 38 companies from 13 countries, offering cutting-edge solutions to counter these critical security challenges.

With over 3,300 state-of-the-art products on display, IDEX 2025 highlights innovations across land and air defence, artificial intelligence, robotics, cybersecurity, and advanced protection systems.
