The event attracted more than 50 young Emirati participants, giving them a chance to sharpen their app development abilities and network with industry leaders.

The Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy organised a specialised session designed for aspiring Emirati app developers as part of its commitment to strengthening relationships with young Emirati developers and digital entrepreneurs. The purpose of this interactive workshop, entitled "Fundamentals of Establishing a Business and Crafting a Successful Mobile Application," which was held in partnership with AstroLabs, was to advance the UAE's digital vision. The programme is in line with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) and the chamber's pledge to promote the "Create Apps in Dubai" project. More than 50 young Emiratis took part in the session, taking advantage of the chance to improve their app development abilities and interact with renowned specialists to explore their creative ideas.

The workshop on "Fundamentals of Establishing a Business and Crafting a Successful Mobile Application" provided insightful advice on how to successfully begin a startup in Dubai. It gave important facilitators and investors a targeted forum for conversations, practical advice, and knowledge sharing about designing, developing, and pitching mobile app prototypes. Participants in the session were shown a recently designed infographic guide detailing the benefits of cutting-edge no-code platforms. This resource was created to minimise entry barriers for people interested in a career in app development by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy in collaboration with the UAE's Artificial Intelligence Office. It offers a thorough overview of no-code platforms, making it possible for anyone without programming knowledge to make their own apps. This manual is intended to help young Emiratis get started in the app development industry and test their apps before release.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council introduced the "Create Apps in Dubai" programme in March of this year with the goal of fostering the skills of regional digital enthusiasts. With the objective of increasing the number of app developers in the Emirates by 2025, it has set an ambitious target of training a select group of 1,000 Emiratis in partnership with the commercial sector. The plan also promotes the creation of 100 new national initiatives over the course of the following two years that will produce cutting-edge apps for digital app stores.

In line with the strategic goals of the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, "Create Apps in Dubai" works to capitalise on new growth opportunities in the industry by constructing a strong digital infrastructure, establishing a legal framework that supports app development, and introducing government incentives to speed up the sector's growth.
