The agreement also benefits Morocco's innovation sector by providing prospective AI businesses with $100,000 in processing capacity for Falcon AI.

AI71, a leader in creating transformative solutions powered by the Falcon AI models from the Technology Innovation Institute, has entered a strategic partnership with Morocco’s Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform. This collaboration announced at GITEX Global, aims to drive Morocco’s digital transformation efforts in line with the country's ambitious Digital Morocco 2030 strategy.

Signing of the Partnership Agreement

The formal signing of the agreement took place at the Dubai World Trade Center. His Excellency Faisal Al Bannai, Secretary General of the Advanced Technology Research Council, and Her Excellency Ghita Mezzour, Delegate-Minister to the Head of Government responsible for Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, represented the two parties. This partnership underscores a shared vision to harness AI for public service enhancement and administrative modernization.

Advancing Public Services with AI Solutions

As part of the next steps, AI71 and the Moroccan ministry will explore the integration of AI tools to improve the accessibility and delivery of government services. By implementing citizen-centric AI solutions, the partnership seeks to provide a more seamless and inclusive public service experience. The initiative reflects a strong focus on leveraging advanced technology to make government interactions more efficient and accessible to all citizens.

“We are honoured to support Digital Morocco 2030, and to bring our AI expertise and solutions to even more people,” said Reda Nidhakou, the Acting CEO of VentureOne, AI71’s parent company.

“Morocco’s government and startups have the power to supercharge the national economy. Empowering them with the right digital solutions will help ensure many more people can benefit from AI’s transformative power. We look forward to seeing Morocco move forward on its ambitious journey to digitization and further solidify its position as a leader within the region.”

Supporting AI Startups with $100,000 in Compute Power

To further encourage local innovation, AI71 has committed $100,000 worth of computing power to four promising Moroccan AI startups. This support follows a competitive program co-organized by AI71 and the Ministry of Digital Transition, designed to foster AI talent and entrepreneurship in Morocco. The competition serves as a key element of the government’s broader digital innovation strategy.

GITEX Africa Competition and the Winning Startups

The competition began earlier this year at GITEX Africa, where over 200 startups were invited to present their solutions for evaluation by AI71. Out of the 35 that participated, four outstanding startups were chosen based on the novelty of their solutions, technical feasibility, and potential for future growth. The winning companies are:

> TOUM AI

> Heyy.ma

> PostGoo

> Thinkable

Access to Falcon AI Models for Rapid Development

Each of the winning startups will receive compute power through AI71’s API Hub, which grants affordable and straightforward access to the Falcon series AI models. This support will enable these startups to fast-track their development, experiment with new ideas, and bring AI-driven solutions to market more effectively.

Ongoing Support and Future Opportunities

AI71 will closely monitor the progress of the selected startups to ensure their sustained growth. The organization also plans to explore further funding and collaborative opportunities with these companies, underscoring its long-term commitment to supporting AI innovation in Morocco. Through this initiative, both AI71 and the Ministry of Digital Transition aim to build a dynamic ecosystem of AI-driven enterprises, contributing to the country’s digital future.
