JAIS 30B Chat, accessible via Microsoft Azure AI’s Model-as-a-Service offering, includes a pre-trained model and infrastructure that allow for customization to meet diverse needs and specifications using Core42's models. This integration enhances generative AI accessibility for the 422 million Arabic speakers worldwide, enabling applications such as localized solutions for end-users, new market opportunities, and multilingual-driven innovation for developers. JAIS 30B Chat establishes new benchmarks in the industry with its exceptional generative AI capabilities, excelling in cross-lingual conversations, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), summarization, content generation, and reasoning. Specifically designed to address the complexities of the Arabic language, it promotes inclusivity and addresses crucial technology gaps for Arabic speakers. Trained on a total of 1.63 trillion tokens, including a significant 475 billion Arabic tokens along with English tokens and code, JAIS 30B Chat enhances logical reasoning in both languages, making it the leading Arabic LLM for high-quality output and complex downstream tasks. It offers more efficient processing of large volumes of Arabic text compared to most other English LLMs.
