COP28 Climate Goals To Be Swiftly Achieved By World Future Energy Summit

The upcoming World Future Energy Summit, hosted by Masdar in Abu Dhabi this month, promises to build upon the significant strides made during COP28 last year. This pivotal event saw the inception of the historic 'UAE Consensus' at the inaugural UN Climate Summit held in the Emirates. At the forefront of discussions during the World Future Energy Summit will be the transformative UAE Consensus and its multifaceted mandates. A dedicated Climate and Environment Conference will delve into the expansive outcomes of COP28, with over 350 global thought leaders and industry experts gathering to explore how companies and communities can achieve their carbon-neutral goals. The summit is scheduled to take place from April 16-18 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).

The momentum generated by COP28 and the UAE Consensus has ushered in a fresh perspective on climate challenges, spurring stakeholders to prioritize innovative solutions. Last year, marked as the world’s warmest on record, witnessed a landmark agreement among numerous nations to initiate a 'transition away' from fossil fuels, a historic first.

In a bold move, participating nations committed to tripling global renewable energy capacity by 2030 and doubling energy efficiency improvements within the same seven-year timeframe.
