Collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources supports Vision 2030 industrial sustainability goals

Achilles Information Ltd has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking a significant step in supporting the Kingdom’s industrial sustainability ambitions.

The agreement, signed in the presence of senior government and industry representatives, establishes a collaboration between Achilles and the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, via a newly established non-governmental organisation, to support ESG and sustainability assessments for manufacturing facilities across the Kingdom. Dr. Ahmed Alshehri signed the MoU on behalf of SIDAM NGO, in the presence of the Deputy Minister, with Katie Ferrier representing Achilles.

Achilles was selected as one of four organisations shortlisted from an initial group of ten, recognising its global expertise in supply chain risk, ESG performance, and sustainability assurance.

The collaboration aims to support factories operating in Saudi Arabia by strengthening ESG practices, improving transparency, and aligning sustainability performance with national industrial objectives. It also contributes to broader efforts to enhance the competitiveness and resilience of Saudi manufacturing under Vision 2030.

Katie Ferrier, Regional Director UKI & MEA at Achilles, attended the signing in Saudi Arabia, reinforcing Achilles’ long-term commitment to the region.

“This MoU reflects growing recognition that ESG performance and supply chain transparency are now fundamental to industrial competitiveness,” said Katie Ferrier. “We are proud to support this initiative and to contribute our global experience to Saudi Arabia’s manufacturing ecosystem.”

The partnership provides Achilles with a platform to support responsible growth across the Kingdom’s industrial base, while also strengthening regional collaboration on sustainability standards.

The announcement follows increasing momentum across the Middle East for ESG-driven industrial development, with governments and manufacturers alike prioritising data-led approaches to sustainability, risk management, and supplier assurance.
