This collaboration will deploy Yango Tech's AI-powered e-grocery automation across Grand Hypermarkets in the GCC

Yango Tech, the technology arm of Yango Group, has entered a significant partnership with Grand Hypermarkets, an international retail chain, during Seamless Middle East 2025. This collaboration will bring Yango Tech Retail’s complete e-grocery automation suite to Grand Hypermarkets' operations across the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, and Saudi Arabia.

Grand Hypermarkets to Embrace End-to-End Retail Technology

With more than 20 years of industry experience and over 95 outlets in the GCC region, Grand Hypermarkets will implement a comprehensive range of Yango Tech solutions. These include a custom mobile app for customers, an advanced store order management system, and an AI-powered last-mile delivery platform. The goal is to improve customer experience and streamline operations, starting with key markets like the UAE and Kuwait.

Alongside the agreement, Yango Tech is presenting its AI-based B2B technology innovations at Seamless Middle East 2025, reinforcing its commitment to supporting the region’s digital economy.

Real-Time Shelf Monitoring with AInventory Cameras

Among the solutions showcased is Yango Tech’s AInventory, a smart camera system that uses AI to monitor retail shelves in real time. These cameras detect deviations from planograms and alert staff accordingly, helping stores maintain stock accuracy and improve visual merchandising compliance, which enhances overall operational performance.

AI-Powered Customer App to Boost Sales and Engagement

Yango Tech Retail also revealed a white-label customer application designed for grocery retailers. This app integrates intelligent features such as smart search, personalized product recommendations, dynamic pricing strategies, and automated marketing tools, empowering retailers to drive customer engagement and profitability.

Revolutionizing Warehousing with AI-Driven Picker Robot

Yango Tech Robotics introduced its cutting-edge Picker Robot, developed using imitation learning. Trained through behavioural cloning in live warehouse settings, the robot can accurately pick 95% of items across 97% of product categories. It represents a leap in warehouse automation, reducing reliance on manual labour and improving efficiency.

Autonomous Delivery Robots Take to the Streets

Yango Tech Autonomy showcased its autonomous delivery robots, designed specifically for urban environments. These emission-free robots use advanced navigation technology to ensure quicker, smarter deliveries. Already operational in Dubai’s Sobha Hartland area in partnership with food-tech firm ROOTS, the robots are also part of a pilot project in Expo City Dubai.
