In a move that reshapes the streaming landscape in the UK, The Walt Disney Company and ITV have announced a groundbreaking content-sharing agreement. This pioneering partnership introduces mutual promotional showcases, ‘A Taste of ITVX’ on Disney+ and ‘A Taste of Disney+’ on ITVX, offering viewers across both platforms a unique chance to experience the best of British and global storytelling. It marks a significant deepening of the ongoing collaboration between two of the most influential names in entertainment.
New Viewing Experience Begins Mid-July
Beginning 16 July, subscribers of both platforms will gain access to an evolving selection of top-tier content from the other service. The curated programming, updated regularly, is designed to broaden viewer horizons, increase content discovery, and allow audiences to sample celebrated titles they may not typically encounter. This reciprocal exchange reflects the strengths of each brand while tapping into the appetite for high-quality programming from varied sources.
ITVX Content Coming to Disney+ Audiences
For Disney+ users in the UK, the new offering means an immersive introduction to ITV’s standout content. From award-winning dramas like Mr Bates vs The Post Office and the tense spy series A Spy Among Friends, to popular reality fare such as Love Island, the lineup is both eclectic and engaging. Classic British dramas like Endeavour and Vera are also featured, along with crime thriller Karen Pirie, whose second season is set to debut on ITVX. Entertainment shows like Olivia Attwood’s Price of Perfection and quiz favourites like The 1% Club round out the selection—all available to Disney+ viewers without any additional charge.
Disney+ Originals Debut on ITVX
Conversely, ITVX viewers will be introduced to a rotating showcase of premium content from Disney+. Under the banner ‘A Taste of Disney+’, this collection offers a sample of Disney’s acclaimed originals and beloved franchises. Among the first titles to appear are FX’s Emmy-winning series The Bear, the Star Wars universe’s Andor, the hit whodunit Only Murders in the Building, and reality docuseries such as The Kardashians and The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Beloved animated classics like Phineas and Ferb and Lilo and Stitch: The Series will also be included. This preview rail will be available to all ITVX users, and accessible ad-free for ITVX Premium subscribers.

Already collaborating on major titles, ITV serves as the UK’s free-to-air partner for Disney+ originals like Renegade Nell and the upcoming Under the Bridge. Meanwhile, ITV Studios continues to play a significant role behind the scenes, producing major Disney+ series such as Rivals, Suspect: The Shooting of Jean Charles de Menezes, and the much-anticipated return of the classic dating show Blind Date.
