Gaurav Thakur has been appointed as general manager of Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island, the luxury 50-villa ‘one-island one-resort’ destination. In his new role, Thakur will lead the team to exceed guest expectations, while overseeing all aspects of resort operations , including commercial strategy, wellness, dining, and experiences – ensuring excellence across every touchpoint.

Thakur brings over 20 years of experience within Hilton, spanning Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, Conrad Hotels & Resorts and Hilton Hotels & Resorts across the UK, India and Maldives. He has held key leadership roles in pre-opening and opening phases of landmark properties including Conrad Pune, Conrad Bengaluru and Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi, where he served as resort manager before becoming general manager at Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort & Spa.
