Reaffirms commitment to owner- and guest-centric growth as Group targets 100 managed hotels by 2040

Langham Hospitality Group (LHG) has announced the appointment of Kevin Robinson as its new Chief Operating Officer, effective 14 April 2025. This marks a return for Robinson, who previously played a crucial role in the pre-opening phase of The Langham, Chicago in 2011. With more than three decades of experience in hospitality leadership, Robinson brings a deep understanding of the industry, a proven ability to build strong partnerships with hotel owners, and a passion for developing guest experiences that contribute to higher occupancy rates, increased revenue, and long-term asset value.

A Proven Career Across Global Hospitality Brands

Robinson’s background spans several globally recognized brands, including senior roles at Westin and Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. His work across diverse markets such as Egypt, the Caribbean, and the United States provided him with extensive operational insight and strategic capability. In addition to his corporate experience, Robinson co-founded Aparium Hotel Group, where he was instrumental in building and managing a successful collection of independent boutique hotels. As a hotel and business owner, he developed a strong entrepreneurial mindset that further shaped his leadership approach.

A Strategic Leader Focused on Growth and Innovation

After successfully exiting Aparium Hotel Group, Robinson transitioned into an advisory role, working closely with the owners of independent luxury hotels in the U.S. He specialized in supporting new developments and crafting distinctive guest concepts, bringing innovative thinking to the evolving landscape of luxury hospitality.

“Kevin’s industry expertise and proven ability to build relationships with hotel owners and create and implement new guest offerings make him the ideal leader to guide our operations,” Langham Hospitality Group Chief Executive Officer Bob van den Oord said. “His blend of corporate discipline and entrepreneurial agility aligns perfectly with our global growth strategy, which centres on increasing our managed property count to 100 hotels by 2040 while continuing to strengthen our ties with clients and deliver elevated hospitality experiences.”

Driving Operational Excellence and Portfolio Expansion

In his new role at LHG, Robinson will report directly to CEO Stefan Leser and take charge of the Group’s daily operations. His primary focus will be on ensuring operational excellence and readiness as the company scales up to manage a growing global portfolio. Additionally, he will lead efforts surrounding upcoming hotel openings, playing a central role in shaping the next phase of LHG’s expansion.
