Red Sea Global has chosen Equinox Hotels to manage the Equinox Resort Amaala, situated along the Red Sea coast in the northwestern region of Saudi Arabia. The resort, set to open in the initial phase of development at Triple Bay, will be positioned adjacent to the Triple Bay Marina Yacht Club, surrounded by picturesque mountain ranges and pristine waters. This year-round destination boasts diverse ecosystems and offers access to the rich local culture and heritage. The Equinox Resort Amaala seamlessly integrates wellness, art, adventure, sports, yachting, and lifestyle experiences. Crafted by Foster + Partners, the design of Equinox Resort Amaala revolves around the concept of high-performance living, incorporating tailored programming and amenities focused on movement, nutrition, and regeneration. The resort will feature 128 guestrooms and suites, multiple culinary concepts, a Beach Club, a spa, a rooftop pool with magnesium salt, and a distinctive EquinoxFitness Club.
A core element of Equinox Resort Amaala's design philosophy is sustainability. The broader Amaala development has committed to surpassing mere environmental conservation by striving for a regenerative impact. The goal is to achieve a 30 per cent net conservation benefit to local ecosystems by 2040. This ambitious target involves enhancing biologically diverse habitats such as mangroves, seagrass, corals, and land vegetation. The entire destination will rely on 100% renewable energy and operate with a zero-carbon footprint once fully operational.
John Pagano, Group CEO of Red Sea Global, said: “Amaala brings the best in health and wellness together in an area of extraordinary natural beauty to offer exceptional and transformative experiences for guests. Equinox’s unique brand of luxury and fitness is a fantastic fit, allowing visitors to choose self-improvement during their stay, getting back to nature on land or at sea, or simply enjoying quiet moments with loved ones in comfort and privacy.”
