King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSHRC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Cleveland Clinic, one of the world’s foremost non-profit academic medical centres. This collaboration will focus on advancing clinical care, operations, research, and education related to autism and neuroscience. The initiative reflects KFSHRC’s ongoing efforts to expand its global partnerships in pursuit of excellence and innovation in patient care.

The agreement was formalized at KFSHRC’s main campus in Riyadh, where H.E. Dr. Majid Alfayyadh, CEO of KFSHRC, and Dr. Tomislav Mihaljevic, CEO and President of the Cleveland Clinic, jointly signed the MoU. The event underscored the significance of the partnership and the commitment of both institutions to work collaboratively.

Framework for Long-Term Cooperation

The MoU outlines plans to establish a structured framework that will guide long-term collaboration in the fields of autism and neuroscience. Dedicated teams from both institutions will be formed to assess and prioritize joint initiatives, with the goal of reinforcing KFSHRC’s position as a provider of specialized healthcare services.

Supporting National Healthcare Transformation

This collaboration aligns with KFSHRC’s broader strategy to strengthen global alliances that facilitate knowledge sharing and capacity building. It is also a key element in supporting the goals of Saudi Arabia’s Health Sector Transformation Program, part of Vision 2030, which emphasizes access to quality care and preventive health services.

KFSHRC’s reputation continues to grow, having been ranked as the top Academic Medical Centre in the Middle East and North Africa and 15th worldwide for two consecutive years. According to the 2025 Brand Finance rankings, it is also the most valuable healthcare brand in both Saudi Arabia and the region. Furthermore, Newsweek included KFSHRC among the world’s top 250 hospitals and recognized it as one of the World’s Best Smart Hospitals for 2025.
