Eterna Health and internationally recognized expert in regenerative medicine, Dr. Adeel Khan, have partnered to launch an innovative therapy utilizing Small Pluripotent Stem Cells (SPSCs), a next-generation innovation in regenerative medicine that exceeds the standard of Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP).

While PRP has been widely used to stimulate repair through concentrated growth factors, SPSCs represent a deeper and more comprehensive form of regeneration. SPSCs exist in adult blood and are rarer than PRP, but more effective because they offer deeper and more complete regeneration than PRP to both signal repair and directly regenerate damaged tissues.

Derived from a simple blood draw, SPSCs are tiny, measuring less than five micrometres, and express key pluripotency markers such as OCT4, NANOG, SOX2 and SSEA-4, indicating their potential to form different tissue types. Through a gentle, cold-enrichment process developed by Eterna Health’s laboratories, between 200 and 500 million viable SPSCs can be safely concentrated from just 60 millilitres of blood. Because of their small size, these cells can circulate systemically rather than becoming trapped in the lungs, a challenge sometimes seen with larger cell types. Early clinical findings suggest SPSCs have a strong safety profile with no tumour risk and an encouraging early track record, supporting their promise as a next-generation regenerative tool.
