Trinasolar, a global powerhouse in smart photovoltaic and energy storage technologies, is making a strong return to Solar & Storage Live Egypt, taking place on April 29–30, 2025, at the Egypt International Exhibition Center. The company's participation underscores its strategic commitment to accelerating Egypt’s renewable energy transformation through innovative solutions, collaborative efforts, and a long-term sustainability agenda tailored to the region.
Showcasing Innovation: Tailored Solar and Storage Solutions for Egypt
During the exhibition, Trinasolar will unveil a portfolio specifically designed to meet regional energy demands. Key highlights include the high-efficiency bifacial Vertex N 630W and Vertex N 720W solar modules, as well as the Anti-Dust Mono Facial Module—equipped with a patented frame that is uniquely adapted to Egypt’s harsh desert conditions. Attendees will also get a first-hand look at the Trina Storage Elementa 2 Pro, a next-generation energy storage system engineered for extreme environmental conditions, such as intense heat and grid instability, frequently experienced across the Middle East and Africa (MEA).
Egypt’s Integrated Sustainable Energy Strategy 2035 aims for 42% of electricity from renewables, positioning the country as a regional clean‑energy hub. Vincent Wu, Global Sales Vice President and MEA MU Head at Trinasolar, commented: “At Trinasolar, we’re proud to support this vision by delivering high-efficiency solar modules and advanced storage systems designed to perform in the region’s unique climate and grid conditions. Through strong local partnerships and smart energy solutions, we aim to play a leading role in accelerating Egypt’s clean energy transition.”
“Our ability to contribute meaningfully is backed by a solid foundation; $8.88 billion in revenue and over $600 million invested in R&D during the first three quarters of 2024. With more than 6,000 patent applications worldwide, we remain committed to innovation and long‑term value creation, not only in Egypt but across the broader MEA region.”
Powering Landmark Projects: Partnership with AMEA Power
A central element of Trinasolar’s impact in Egypt is its collaboration with AMEA Power on the groundbreaking Abydos Battery Energy Storage Project in Aswan. Touted as Africa’s largest solar PV initiative and Egypt’s first utility-scale battery energy storage system (BESS), the project will incorporate 300MWh of Trinasolar’s Elementa 2 storage platform, delivered in 5MWh modular units. Having passed rigorous Factory Acceptance Testing in Chu Zhou, China, the units began shipping in February 2025. This strategic deployment is set to significantly bolster Egypt’s grid reliability and support energy security across the broader MEA region.
Driving the Region’s Renewable Future
By integrating high-performance solar technologies, advanced storage systems, and robust local partnerships, Trinasolar continues to play a leading role in Egypt’s clean energy journey. The company’s innovations are not only helping meet the country's sustainability targets but also laying the foundation for a more stable, low-carbon power infrastructure across the region.
