With intentions to create operations in KSA and Oman soon, Neosun opens a regional office in Dubai with new solar solutions.

Neosun Energy, a prominent global player in solar energy solutions, is excited to announce the inauguration of its new regional office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This marks a significant expansion into the MENA market, with forthcoming plans to establish offices in Saudi Arabia and Oman. With the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region projected to incorporate 62GW of renewable energy capacity in the next five years, as per the International Energy Agency, this move aligns perfectly with the commitments outlined at COP28. The surge in renewable energy deployment is anticipated to exceed previous growth rates, with solar capacity contributing over 85% to this expansion.

What The Leaders Are Saying

“The unique climatic conditions of the MENA region make it an ideal centre for solar energy production. The UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Oman have one of the highest solar exposure rates globally, with solar irradiance from around 2,285 kWh/m2 to 7,004 kWh/m2”, said Ilya Likhov, CEO of Neosun Energy.

The MENA region, which was historically recognised for having large oil reserves, is currently seeing a paradigm shift towards sustainable energy sources as a result of a deliberate effort to utilise its copious natural resources for renewable energy.

“As solar energy is the most cost-effective form of energy generation today, the MENA countries can produce the cheapest electricity. All of this is fertile ground for local entrepreneurs to utilize solar energy solutions to make their businesses more profitable”, emphasized Mr. Likhov.

Unlocking New Horizons

Neosun's solar installations offer a distinct advantage by being adaptable for remote and off-grid locations. This addresses the challenges posed by limited or unreliable conventional electricity access. By harnessing solar energy, businesses in remote areas can now operate independently of the grid, thereby unlocking new avenues for economic growth and development. Presently, Neosun's projects span across 16 countries, showcasing their global impact.

“We are already in talks with potential partners in the MENA region. We strongly believe that the new Neosun Energy office will help to be closer to local businesses and commercial enterprises to provide them with affordable solar energy solutions: be it solar plants, innovative energy storage systems, or portable Power Hubs. Using the new solar energy technologies will help local businesses to increase their cost efficiency and investment attractiveness”, concluded Mr. Likhov.
