Yango Group, a global technology leader, has joined forces with the Rashid Centre for People of Determination to introduce a far-reaching initiative that enhances educational, transportation, and digital safety opportunities for students with special needs. This collaboration reflects the UAE’s broader vision of inclusive progress and digital empowerment, aligning with the directive of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to integrate artificial intelligence into the national school curriculum.
Bridging the AI Accessibility Gap
As artificial intelligence gains momentum as a key driver of the UAE’s economy, expected to contribute $96 billion by 2030, according to PwC, ensuring accessibility for all is essential. This partnership is a step toward levelling the playing field for students of determination by offering customised tools and learning opportunities. Yango Group and the Rashid Centre are committed to preparing these students to thrive in a digitally driven future.
Empowering Students Through Smart Technology
At the heart of this initiative is the donation of smart speakers featuring Yasmina, a bilingual AI assistant that speaks both Arabic and English. These devices enable students to interact with technology through natural voice commands, making the digital world more approachable and inclusive. The integration of Yasmina marks a meaningful advancement in creating tech that serves diverse learning needs.
Accessible Mobility for Families
Recognizing the role of reliable transportation in daily learning routines, Yango Ride has introduced a special program offering 60 discounted rides per year for each user affiliated with the Rashid Centre. This benefit reduces travel costs by 20% annually, helping students and their families reach school and appointments with ease and dignity.
Curated Entertainment for Learning and Safety
In addition to mobility and education, Yango Play will offer free annual subscriptions to the Rashid Centre and its students. The platform features a rich selection of Arabic-language content that is not only age-appropriate but also educational and secure. This ensures students of determination have access to safe, enriching media that supports both leisure and learning.
“With AI now shaping the future of education, work, and communication, it’s vital that students of determination are not left on the margins,” commented Islam Abdul Karim, the Regional Head of Yango Group Middle East. “This partnership is about removing barriers across learning, mobility, and access to technology. Every child deserves the chance to grow with confidence in a world that’s increasingly digital, and we are proud to contribute to that journey.”
“We are deeply grateful to Yango Group for their thoughtful and forward-thinking support. This partnership reflects a shared belief that students of determination deserve every opportunity to thrive in today’s digital world. By providing accessible technology, safe transportation, and inclusive educational tools, Yango is not only opening doors but also inspiring confidence in our students. Together, we are building a future where no child is left behind,” stated Mariam Othman, Director of the Rashid Centre for People of Determination.
AI Education and Digital Safety Training
From September onward, the collaboration will introduce monthly AI-focused learning sessions specially crafted for students of determination. These interactive classes are designed to build foundational knowledge in artificial intelligence while boosting digital confidence. Alongside this, Yango will also conduct digital safety workshops for students, parents, and educators, covering crucial topics like online privacy, responsible streaming, and content awareness.
Training for Compassionate Mobility Services
To further enhance the experience of students and families, Yango Ride will collaborate with the Rashid Centre to train drivers in offering empathetic and accessible services. This ensures every journey is respectful and safe, reinforcing the values of inclusion and dignity in public transportation.
Shaping an Inclusive Digital Future
This initiative is a powerful demonstration of Yango Group’s broader mission to drive inclusive innovation. By addressing the interconnected areas of education, mobility, and digital well-being, Yango and the Rashid Centre for People of Determination are paving the way for a more inclusive society, where every individual has the tools and opportunities to thrive in the UAE’s digital transformation.
