His vision focused on nurturing a close-knit community among UAE Nationals by creating a platform for guidance, support, and inspiration. The Mentorship Programme reflects Mr. Alabbar’s personal commitment to fostering national talent and giving back to the UAE through empowerment and leadership development.

Evolving into Focused Mentorship 3.0, the programme introduces a new, dynamic model. Mentees are now empowered to select mentors who best match their learning needs, career goals, or project ambitions. Each mentor is carefully chosen based on specialised skills to help mentees build critical capabilities and drive deeper business insights. This tailored approach enhances collaboration across departments and ensures more meaningful, targeted learning experiences.

Unlike traditional mentorship structures, Emaar’s model sets a new standard for organisational learning. It combines immersive learning formats — such as real-world immersions, fireside chats, learning labs, and on-the-job experiences — to offer mentees a comprehensive, hands-on development journey. Mentorship 1.0 welcomed 66 UAE Nationals, while Mentorship 2.0 doubled the participation, with 133 mentees and 23 certified mentors across various departments. The tangible benefits of the mentorship initiatives are already clear: 75% of UAE Nationals recently promoted within Emaar had participated in past mentorship cycles, either as mentors or mentees. The programme has also earned a high satisfaction score of 4.4 out of 5, reflecting the strong trust and engagement levels among participants.
