With projects in the US, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Japan, WakeCap has established itself as a leader in the worldwide construction technology market.

WakeCap, a top IoT platform for managing construction projects, announced today that Core, an AI-powered platform for project delivery in the construction sector, has acquired Crews. The acquisition will result in the creation of the most complete SAAS and IoT solution for large-scale construction projects globally. As part of the deal, WakeCap will establish an R&D centre in Silicon Valley, enhancing its standing as a leading global provider of construction technology.

A Single Platform for Building Activities

With over 70 million worker hours completed, job sites with tens of thousands of workers use WakeCap solutions. WakeCap is providing numerous on-site solutions since it has built a strong level of trust and honesty with its clients. In addition to WakeCap's current portfolio of products for connected workers, time and progress monitoring, and safety incident prevention and management, the combined business will provide owners and contractors with the broadest range of solutions on the market.

With the help of Crews by Core's AI-powered project delivery platform, WakeCap can provide clients with quick solutions for measuring and reducing inefficiencies on the job site. In addition to saving thousands of hours and up to 20% of labour expenses, WakeCap's IoT network for people, tools, and cars offers comprehensive automated data on the job site, enhancing worker safety. They will now incorporate communication, lookahead scheduling, and the assessment and reduction of financial risk.

Streamlined Procedures with Coordinated Approaches

Despite employing 200 million people and having a valuation of over $12 trillion, the construction sector is infamous for using antiquated offline procedures. Workers in insufficient supply, a lack of communication, and poor teamwork cause teams to waste hours each week on unproductive work. WakeCap and Crews by Core, with their AI-powered project delivery platform, have been addressing this long-standing industry issue with their IoT platforms.

“Hassan has built a rocket ship. It’s rare to see so much traction in construction tech, let alone any tech startup and we’re excited to accelerate our mission with this partnership,” stated Di-Ann Eisnor, CEO and founder of Crews by Core. “Saudi Arabia has some of the largest projects anywhere in the world and it's the perfect place to deploy our project delivery platform.”

“Di-Ann's team has incredible knowledge and deep technical skills. We’re thrilled to bring the two companies together,” explained Dr. Hassan Albalawi, CEO and Founder of WakeCap. “Their team is world-class and has built some of the most important companies in Silicon Valley including Paypal, Waze, Google Chrome, and Palantir. They know how to scale technology platforms.”

Utilisation on Big Sites and Megaprojects

The technology of the two companies is currently in use to manage tens of thousands of workers completing millions of labour hours annually across big sites and megaprojects in the United States, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Japan. Saudi Aramco, Kajima, Takenaka, Apex Building Group, and Jeddah Central Development Co. are among the clients. The purchase price is not being made public.
