UAE Construction Industry Gets Safety Boost from Dubai & Emirates Labs

Emirates Safety Laboratory (ESL) and Dubai Acoustic Research Laboratory (DARL) have announced a strategic partnership focused on advancing safety standards in the region. This collaboration, endorsed by Dubai Civil Defence, represents a pivotal move in enhancing testing and certification protocols across the construction industry. The partnership aims to ensure strict adherence to the mandatory Dubai Building Code, fostering a safer built environment.

Combined Expertise for Comprehensive Solutions

By merging ESL's expertise in fire testing and certification with DARL's excellence in acoustic research and solutions, this partnership is set to offer international code-compliance solutions that cater to the unique needs of the UAE and GCC construction industry.

The collaboration will provide a wide range of services, including architectural acoustics, noise and vibration engineering consultancy, certification for construction systems (such as sound insulation and absorption), impact testing and analysis, as well as construction and environmental noise and vibration surveying, monitoring, and assessment. These services will be tailored to various sectors, including commercial, residential, hospitality, industrial, healthcare, public buildings, events and entertainment venues, transportation, and infrastructure projects.

First Official Collaboration

This partnership marks the first official collaboration between Dubai Civil Defence’s Emirates Safety Laboratory and an accredited acoustic testing and certification facility recognized locally, nationally, and internationally.
