Revenue surpassed AED 7 billion, fuelled by strong underwriting and digital innovation

Sukoon Insurance has announced its financial results for the year ended 31 December 2025, marking the conclusion of its Golden Jubilee with the strongest overall financial performance in the company’s history. The 50th anniversary milestone coincided with a landmark year of growth, as the company reinforced its position as one of the UAE’s most established and resilient insurance providers. For the 2025 fiscal year, Sukoon reported exceptional growth across all key financial metrics, supported by robust economic conditions, prudent risk management and continued operational excellence.

The company achieved a historic high in revenue generation, with Gross Written Premium (GWP) surpassing AED 7 billion, a 19% year-on-year increase. This strong top-line growth was accompanied by a 12% rise in insurance service results, reaching AED 261 million. Investment income also saw a substantial uplift of 43%, reaching AED 298 million, driven by a shift toward higher-yielding assets. As a result, profit before tax rose to AED 428 million, marking a 47% year-on-year increase and reflecting the company’s solid operational momentum and disciplined underwriting approach.

Performance was also bolstered by the company’s subsidiary, Sukoon Takaful, which continued its strong momentum by delivering exceptional profitability for the second consecutive year following its acquisition and integration.

Hammad Khan, Interim CEO and Chief Financial Officer at Sukoon Insurance, said, “Our 2025 performance underscores Sukoon’s ability to deliver profitable growth while maintaining strong underwriting discipline and capital strength, maintaining 275% solvency ratio. This milestone reflects consistent execution across business segments and our commitment to long-term value creation for customers, partners and shareholders.”

Looking ahead, Sukoon reaffirmed its strategic priorities as the UAE designates 2026 as the "Year of Family." The company intends to focus on enhancing solutions that safeguard the health, financial security and well-being of families across the nation. Additionally, the company emphasised the expanding role of digital innovation - particularly artificial intelligence - in shaping the future of insurance, with plans to integrate AI-driven insights and automation to deliver smarter and more efficient customer interactions. The Golden Jubilee has marked a new chapter of growth, with Sukoon continuing to bolster its reputation as one of the UAE’s most trusted and financially secure insurers.
