In an ongoing endeavour to spur the growth of Arab nations, the AMF will highlight the use of cutting-edge technology, such as artificial intelligence (AI) and general artificial intelligence (GenAI) in financial services.

The Arab Monetary Fund (AMF) has forged a significant partnership with the Dubai FinTech Summit (DFS), organized by the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), a powerhouse in the global financial landscape of the MEASA region.

Established in 1977, the AMF stands as a pivotal regional Arab institution boasting 22 member countries. Its core mission revolves around fortifying economic, financial, and monetary stability, thereby fostering economic growth within Arab nations. In a notable stride, AMF will play host to the Eleventh Meeting for the Arab Regional FinTech WG on May 5-6, 2024, followed by a workshop focusing on the Formulation of Effective SupTech Frameworks on May 7, 2024. These events will be seamlessly integrated into the Dubai FinTech Summit, taking place at Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai.

The realm of finance is undergoing a profound digital transformation, ushering in improved services while combatting financial crimes and fraud. As supervisory authorities strive to keep pace, innovative technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) are increasingly employed to fulfil regulatory mandates. The Arab region is witnessing an accelerated adoption of SupTech, underscored by various ongoing initiatives, underscoring the imperative to bolster institutional capabilities in this domain.

The forthcoming one-day workshop on Formulation of Effective SupTech Frameworks aims to leverage real-world case studies and best practices, igniting the integration of cutting-edge technologies and data science into supervisory processes. Targeting representatives from Arab central banks and financial supervisory authorities, the workshop seeks to furnish practical insights for the successful implementation of comprehensive SupTech strategies, while proactively addressing associated risks and challenges.

Aligned with the D33 Agenda, aimed at propelling Dubai into the echelons of the top four global financial hubs by 2033, the 2nd edition of the Dubai FinTech Summit is strategically designed to foster cross-border collaboration and innovation, pivotal for the transformation of the global FinTech landscape.
