Ajman Bank has named Tahir Turksoy as the new Head of Fintech & AI within its Consumer Banking Division, with the appointment taking effect from 7 April 2025. Reporting directly to Faizal Kundil, Head of Consumer Banking, Turksoy will lead the bank’s efforts in digital transformation, driving forward its mission to embrace innovation and deliver technology-driven, customer-centric banking solutions.
A Veteran in Digital Transformation and Innovation
With over two decades of experience, Tahir Turksoy is widely recognized for his ability to align technological advancements with core business strategies. His expertise includes crafting and executing end-to-end digital transformation roadmaps, developing advanced mobile and online banking platforms, modernizing branch operations, and deploying user-focused fintech solutions. His strategic insights have consistently enabled organizations to enhance customer engagement, innovate digital services, and refine their operating models.

Before joining Ajman Bank, Turksoy served as Head of Digital at National Bonds Corporation. In that role, he was instrumental in expanding the company’s digital reach, simplifying the customer onboarding process, and introducing digital-first financial products. His initiatives significantly boosted customer acquisition and enhanced fund mobilization through technology-driven engagement channels.
Extensive Leadership Across Top Regional Banks
Turksoy’s career also includes key leadership roles at several prominent financial institutions, such as Mashreq Bank, First Gulf Bank, and DenizBank. At these organizations, he was at the forefront of digital banking transformation, overseeing projects ranging from digitizing traditional branches and launching mobile banking solutions to integrating open finance systems and optimizing self-service banking experiences.
