Eastnets Welcomes New Board Members To Improve Governance

Four new independent directors will promote expansion and superior compliance.

Eastnets, a leading global provider of compliance and payment solutions catering to the financial services sector, has announced the appointment of four distinguished Independent Board Directors. This strategic move aims to deepen the company's influence within the industry while expanding its global footprint. The newly bolstered Board, in collaboration with the existing team, is poised to fortify Eastnets’ corporate leadership, uphold stringent standards of corporate governance, and infuse fresh perspectives into decision-making processes.

The four newly appointed directors, namely Jochen Biedermann, Sophie Bertin Hadjiveltcheva, Marwan M. Bataineh, and Thomas Krantz bring a wealth of diverse experience to the table, having been associated with Eastnets since 2022.

Jochen Biedermann, renowned for his profound insights into global financial strategies and fintech innovation, serves as the Managing Director of the World Alliance of International Financial Centres. His extensive leadership experience across various global financial hubs will be instrumental in guiding Eastnets’ strategic expansion and fostering innovation.

Sophie Bertin Hadjiveltcheva, with her extensive knowledge of EU regulations and expertise in financial crisis management, adds significant value to the Board. Having led the European Commission’s financial crisis task force and contributed innovatively to compliance training at Serapy, her presence enhances the company’s regulatory and compliance capabilities.

Marwan M. Bataineh, leveraging over four decades of experience in IT and professional services, brings invaluable expertise to Eastnets. His leadership roles at the Amman Stock Exchange and profound understanding of financial governance will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s technology strategy and reinforcing corporate governance practices.

Thomas Krantz, renowned for his strategic acumen honed through extensive experience in financial services and regulatory frameworks, serves as the Secretary General of the World Federation of Exchanges. His expertise will be instrumental in enabling Eastnets to maintain its leadership position in compliance solutions.
