J.P. Morgan has officially announced the appointment of David Frame as the global chief executive officer of its Private Bank division, which manages assets totalling approximately $2.4 trillion. This strategic leadership change marks a significant moment for the firm as it continues to expand its influence in wealth management worldwide.

Experience Leading U.S. Private Banking

Before stepping into his new global role, Frame led the firm’s U.S. Private Bank for five years. During this period, he played a central role in enhancing services for high-net-worth clients, driving innovation in private wealth strategies, and expanding the firm’s domestic presence in the private banking sector.

Shaping Global Wealth Strategy

Earlier in his tenure, Frame served as global head of client advice and strategy for J.P. Morgan’s wealth management arm. In this capacity, he was tasked with developing and implementing investment and banking strategies across international markets. His work was instrumental in aligning client needs with tailored solutions across multiple regions and platforms.

Expertise in Capital Markets and Alternatives

Frame’s diverse leadership background also includes three years as the global head of capital markets solutions, followed by another three years overseeing the Private Bank’s alternative investments group. These roles deepened his expertise in structured investment strategies and helped drive innovation in J.P. Morgan’s suite of non-traditional asset offerings.

Roots in Institutional Equity Trading

His career at J.P. Morgan began in the firm’s Investment Bank, where he spent over a decade on the institutional equity trading desks in both New York and London. This early experience provided Frame with a strong foundation in global markets and client execution, shaping his approach to leadership in the wealth management business.

Role Within Firm Leadership and Educational Background

Frame currently serves on J.P. Morgan’s Asset and Wealth Management Operating Committee, where he contributes to strategic decision-making across the broader business. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Middlebury College in Vermont, an academic foundation that preceded his distinguished rise through the ranks of global finance.
