The Sharjah-based humanitarian organization has announced Lujan Mourad as its new Director, while Hamda Al Muhrizi has been named Deputy Director.

The Khalid Bin Sultan Al Qasimi Humanitarian Foundation (KSQF), an independent humanitarian organization based in Sharjah and chaired by Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, has announced key leadership changes to strengthen its global initiatives. These appointments align with the Foundation’s mission to enhance support for vulnerable children worldwide.

Key Leadership Appointments

Lujan Mourad has been named Director, while Hamda Al Muhrizi will assume the role of Deputy Director. With extensive experience in the humanitarian sector, both leaders bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Foundation, reinforcing its commitment to child protection and empowerment.

Lujan Mourad’s Role and Vision

Lujan Mourad, a dedicated humanitarian professional, will oversee KSQF’s strategic initiatives as Director. She will lead programs that safeguard children from exploitation, particularly those affected by conflict and poverty. Her leadership aims to create lasting social impact across multiple sectors.

Experience and Strategic Focus

With over 18 years of experience managing local and international government and non-profit projects, Lujan has spearheaded initiatives in mental health, environmental sustainability, and volunteer management. Her strategic direction aligns with the Foundation’s vision of fostering long-term, systematic change to protect vulnerable children.

Hamda Al Muhrizi’s Contribution as Deputy Director

Hamda Al Muhrizi brings 15 years of expertise in marketing, communications, and humanitarian work to her role as Deputy Director. She will focus on strengthening the Foundation’s global outreach, developing impactful initiatives, and forging key partnerships to promote sustainable development and community resilience.

A Legacy of Leadership and Impact

Before joining KSQF, Hamda held leadership roles at The Big Heart Foundation and the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority. She played a pivotal role in executing successful global campaigns and fostering organizational growth. Her strategic vision and commitment to humanitarian causes position her as a driving force for meaningful change.

Honouring a Legacy Through Global Initiatives

Since its establishment in July 2024, KSQF has worked to build global partnerships addressing the needs of children in conflict zones, impoverished communities, and disaster-affected areas. The Foundation was created in memory of the late Sheikh Khalid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, embodying his vision of a safer world where children’s protection and well-being remain a priority.

Future Strategic Focus

KSQF’s long-term strategy is centred on addressing child protection challenges in low- and middle-income countries. With a focus on safeguarding, advocacy, and capacity-building, the Foundation’s initiatives for 2025 will prioritize Latin America and East Africa before expanding to South Asia, Southwest Asia, and North Africa in the following years.
